ROLE DESCRIPTION
Stremble Ventures LTD is looking for a Senior Bioinformatician to provide analytical support to a number of clinical and life sciences research projects. The ideal candidate must hold a relevant PhD and be able to demonstrate at least five years of experience in a bioinformatician or computer scientist role. The duties will involve analysis of sequencing and other types of data and developing novel bioinformatics techniques for multi-omics analysis.
The post is office-based, on a full-time basis. We offer a competitive salary based on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. Priority will be given to someone who can provide long term support to the company.

REQUIRED EXPERTISE
- PhD degree in a relevant field (such as bioinformatics, computational biology or computer science) and five years of experience as a bioinformatician or computer scientist
- Very strong scripting and programming skills
- Experience in developing bioinformatics analytical pipelines
- Good publication record
- Experience of working with clinical trial or epidemiological study data
- Fluency in Greek and English
ADDITIONAL EXPERTISE
Which will be considered an advantage
- Single-cell sequencing analytics
- Experience of writing high impact scientific publications
- Track record of securing research funding and ability to pursue new funding opportunities
- Project management qualifications or experience
- Experience of cloud computing (e.g. Amazon AWS), version control and open-source software development
